Happenings About Town

Edinburg is a beautiful town. It was never more prevalent than this morning during the terrible fire that took the JG Hall complex. The loss is so personal with everyone in town and the area because of all the Hall contributions to our town.

Anyway, early this morning, Cindy Vargason, store manager of Market On Main, took cases of water down to Cenex for the firefighters. On her return to the store, John T. Evenson asked if she had taken water down. With her yes reply, he said he had pulled pork in his freezer and he was going to go home and get it. (John caters events.) Cindy mentioned to the bread delivery driver and the potato chip driver what was going on. They immediately donated buns and chips. To top everything off, Carol Bjornson came into the store about the time all this was transpiring. She immediately went home and baked cookies for the firemen. What a town!!

Yes, it is our small towns that always pull together to help each other. I am so proud to say I live in Edinburg. (When I say Edinburg I am including all those that live outside of town on farmsteads, but call Edinburg their home town.)

Edinburg always is and will be a great place to live!!! There is so much to love about this wonderful town.
